I ordered an ASUS EeePC 900 from purelygadgets. They told me that the only shipping option for my country (Greece) was a DHL AIR EXPRESS option - delivery in 2 working days.
To make a long story short, somebody at purelygadgets shipped the laptop using the road transport option and DHL "lost or misplaced" the package (according to purelygadgets).I spent almost 30 min. per day speaking with DHL and purelygadgets to track my shipment (and of course I was paying for the calls) and the package finally arrived after 10 working days.
The support line is just appauling and I wouldn't recommend to anyone buying from purelygadgets unless they can pick the stuff they ordered by themselves.

I was advised on 22may that my goods would be shipped within 2 to 5 days, the goods were not shipped until 8 days (29) but they took the monies from my account on the 22. This company is one I would not recommend. Their customer service dept., is good at placating but of no real help (more)

Purely Gadgets is a company I will never use again. I ordered a Nikon rechargeable battery from them. They sent me a £300+ digital waterproof camera by mistake. I returned it to them immediately by special delivery, enclosing the recepits for the postage. Despite acknowledging they had received the camera, they never even said thank you for saving them £300. Instead they claimed they had never received the receipts and refused to refund the postage. Furthermore when the battery finally arrived, it came with an invoice for four times the original cost they had quoted. Despite copious correspondence, I have got nowhere with them.
Don't ever use this company (more)

My worst online buying experience ever. As a failure, PurelyGadgets' customer service
is a total success! Camera ordered 2.43 am 27/308, money taken out of my account
same day, camera delivered 22/4/08. I changed delivery address by fax I/4/08,
spoke to Gary 4/408 who said fax not received, and that he would take order off 'On
Hold' , despite being told three times that I would not be at my London address to
accept delivery for at least a week. I spoke to Daniel 16/4/08 suggesting CF card in
compensation - he needed proof of fax to authorise anything. Fax proof sent. My
emails always met with bland replies - requests for managing director's details
refused. Daniel sent email 16... (more)

Items received finally after 2.5 weeks of waiting. Customer service was very nice and polite but Purelygadgets have some big delivery issues. The status tracking system is totally rubbish, and has nothing to do with reality. Initially items were processed for more than a week and then after my email, status has changed to “awaiting courier pick up” (stayed there for another 1.5 weeks). So either couriers were very sluggish or item was hidden somewhere and couriers could not find it. Finally after my 2 phone calls items have been dispatched. Will think twice before buying from this shop again. Although price my tempt me again (more)

The product is fine, the delivery company let you down. They attempted delivery, left a calling card. I acted on the calling card and was advised by an automated response system that the product would be delivered the next day. I waited in all day and no delivery. I then had to collect the item from a depot 45 minute away having paid for delivery. (more)

The product received was a****anese import, no mention of this at the time of order,****anese import is available on ebay for half the price - no manual in English and unable to register for support at Nikon UK - this is simply a rip off...Purely Gadgets promise a UK manual will be dispatched to me but to date nothing has been received and I very much doubt if it will....Purely Gadgets look god and sound good but it is only when you purchase from them you realise just how poor they really are! Never again... (more)

Emails came late or before they should confusing matters. Online order status didn't change for about 4working days. Called customer services but got no answer after 12minutes of waiting. Ended up E-mailing got great responce from that though very happy there. I hope if i order again that it will be more fluent then this time. Very happy with the prices just the dispatching of good took a while to get sorted. (more)

The only thing wrong with the experience was that the effort involved in getting the item delivered to my office address meant I had to have it delivered at home. I missed the first delivery and so got the item two days later. All other on line retailers I use will deliver to my office address. Why not you? It's all very well asking for me to fax a utility bill but as I do not carry those bills with me to the office I could either delay placing my order until I found the bill or put up with home delivery. So - allow an alternative delivery address without all the faff. (more)
